Mitsubishi Lancer Latest Updates : The Mitsubishi Lancer is making a strong comeback as a modern compact sedan for 2025/2026 after being discontinued in many markets years ago. The all-new Lancer has been completely redesigned with bold exterior styling including LED lights, aerodynamic bodywork, and new colour options that give it a contemporary look. Inside, it features a premium cabin with soft-touch materials, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and advanced connectivity features. Safety has also been upgraded with Mitsubishi’s latest ADAS suite — including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, and a 360° surround-view camera for enhanced protection. Powertrain options range from efficient turbocharged engines to plug-in hybrid variants with excellent fuel economy and emissions performance, along with available all-wheel drive on higher trims for improved traction and handling. The Mitsubishi Lancer - named after a soldier of the cavalry regiment in Europe's knightly age-debuted on the world stage in 1973. Styled for superior aerodynamic drag and a robust monologue chassis for increased performance, the very first Lancer was powered by engines using Mitsubishi Clean Air technology. Four-door Lancer assembly began in New Zealand in 1975, supplementing the larger English Hillman Avengers also built locally by importer Todd Motors. The Celeste was imported built-up from Japan initially and assembly of a single 1.6- liter, manual transmission model began in 1978 followed by a minor facelift about a year later.

You will be fine, I have done ALOT of 10 hour road trips in my X. I am actually about to drive it cross country with the wife and me this summer. My car has 68K on it right now! I have heard of others doing this as well.  
This 4 star ANCAP safety rating applies to variants with dual frontal airbags and a driver knee airbag. A separate ANCAP safety rating is available for the curtain-equipped Lancer. Dual front airbags and a driver knee airbag are standard equipment.
