You will be fine, I have done ALOT of 10 hour road trips in my X. I am actually about to drive it cross country with the wife and me this summer. My car has 68K on it right now! I have heard of others doing this as well.  
This 4 star ANCAP safety rating applies to variants with dual frontal airbags and a driver knee airbag. A separate ANCAP safety rating is available for the curtain-equipped Lancer. Dual front airbags and a driver knee airbag are standard equipment.
