MG Gloster Latest Updates : The MG Gloster continues to be powered by robust diesel engines that are designed for strong on-road and off-road performance. In its current lineup, the SUV offers a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that delivers around 161 PS of power and 373–374 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, making it suitable for smooth city driving and highway cruising. For those wanting more performance, the twin-turbo diesel variant generates significantly higher output — approximately 215–216 PS of power and about 478–480 Nm of torque — which gives the Gloster excellent pulling power, especially in the 4WD configuration where it’s often the preferred choice for tougher terrains and heavier loads.    Recently, MG has also updated the Gloster to comply with BS6 Phase 2 emission norms, and this update retains the powerful 213 bhp / ~215 PS twin-turbo engine with 480 Nm of torque, again mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and offered exclusively in a 4×4 setup in the latest versions. This updated powertrain ensures that the Gloster meets modern emission standards while keeping its performance credentials strong.

The MG Gloster is known for offering strong engine performance, especially in its diesel variants. In India, the flagship Gloster gets a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that produces up to around 215–216 hp of power at about 4000 rpm and around 478–480 Nm of torque delivered between roughly 1500–2400 rpm. This powerful output helps the large SUV deliver confident acceleration and good highway cruising ability, especially when fully occupied or loaded.      In addition to the twin-turbo option, some variants of the Gloster come with a single-turbo 2.0-litre diesel engine that generates around 159
