MG Comet EV Latest Updates : The MG Comet EV has recently received its 2025 model-year update in India, bringing modest but meaningful upgrades focused on convenience and comfort — though its core mechanicals remain largely unchanged. For the MY25 update, MG Motor has revised feature distributions across variants: mid-spec Excite trims now get a rear parking camera and power-folding outside mirrors, while the top-end Exclusive variants are equipped with leatherette seat upholstery and a 4-speaker audio system for a more premium cabin feel. The SUV continues to offer dual 10.25-inch displays, wireless smartphone connectivity, and safety kit including dual airbags and stability control. Prices have also inched up slightly, with ex-showroom tags ranging roughly from about ₹7 lakh to just under ₹10 lakh depending on the variant, and MG’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option still available at lower upfront costs with pay-per-km battery rental. Mechanically, the Comet EV sticks with its 17.3–17.4 kWh battery paired to a rear-mounted electric motor producing around 42 PS and 110 Nm, delivering an ARAI-claimed range of ~230 km on a full charge — ideal for urban use. Charging support includes standard AC charging with faster 7.4 kW options on select trims. Despite minor price increases, it remains one of the most affordable electric cars in India and continues to compete in the entry-level EV segment alongside models like the Tata Tiago EV and Citroën eC3.

The car’s top speed is electronically limited to about 100 km/h, and charging can take roughly 7 hours on a standard home AC charger; an optional 7.4 kW AC charger can reduce this time significantly, though DC fast charging isn’t supported.
