The Maruti WagonR Electric offers excellent value for money and low running costs, which is one of its biggest advantages. Being an electric car, its energy cost per kilometer is significantly lower than petrol or diesel versions, helping you save a lot on fuel in daily city driving. Maruti Suzuki initially developed an electric WagonR, the project has not been launched in India yet and was reportedly shelved because the company found it hard to justify its cost and business case. Early prototypes suggested a real-world range of around ~130 km on a full charge, which is quite limited compared to conventional petrol cars and other EV competitors — this low range would lead to range anxiety and frequent charging stops, especially for people who travel longer distances or take highway trips.
