Maruti Wagon R Latest Updates : The 2025 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R has received significant safety upgrades, which are among the biggest changes for the model in India. Maruti has made six airbags standard across all variants, replacing the earlier setup with only two front airbags. Alongside this, features like ABS with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), three-point seatbelts for all passengers, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and rear parking sensors are offered to enhance occupant protection. Despite these safety improvements, the exterior and interior design of the Wagon R remain largely unchanged from the outgoing model, retaining its tall-boy hatchback look, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electric ORVMs, and 14-inch alloy wheels.Under the hood, the powertrain remains familiar, with the Wagon R continuing to be offered with two petrol engine options: a 1.0-litre three-cylinder and a 1.2-litre four-cylinder unit, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT automatic transmission. The 1.0-litre engine also comes with a factory-fitted CNG option, known for delivering strong real-world fuel efficiency (around 28–30 km/kg in CNG variants). The model is built on Suzuki’s lightweight HEARTECT platform and aims to balance economy and practicality for urban buyers.

The Maruti Wagon R can be had with either a 1.0-litre or a more powerful 1.2-litre engine. The 1.0-litre engine is for those who want maximum mileage, whereas the 1.2-litre unit is sprightlier and suited for highway usage. It also gets the option of either a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT gearbox. The Wagon R is the ideal city car, owing to its compact dimensions, great outward visibility, relatively high driving position, light controls, and a very smooth powertrain. The ride quality on the Suzuki Wagon R is surprisingly good for its class. It can handle bad roads with ease and is fairly steady at highway speeds, too.The ground clearanc
